Where is my site's 'base' file?

When you search for fixes to design issues with your Shopify site, answers often reference adding code to the bottom of your "theme" or "base" file.

There is a "main" file for your store's css code, which is where many of your edits can occur. For me, it is the assets/base.css file. If you do not have that file, search for the alternate names: assets/themes.css - or - assets/style.css

Not sure where to find this? Navigate to the Online Store/Themes page from your side-menu, and select the three-dots menu next to the "customize" button. Select "Edit code."
